About MilSpouse Transition
Our Mission
Our mission is to help military spouses around the world navigate successfully out of active duty military life and on to finding new adventures.
If you’re in the thick of transition, we’re here to give you the answers you need, the to-do list you want, and a community that gets it. Because this isn’t just about moving boxes or DD-214s—it’s about finding yourself again and owning what’s next.
Creating successful transition journeys one military spouse at a time.
Anna Larson
Hi, I’m Anna — your military spouse transition expert and founder of MilSpouse Transition.
You may already know that this organization bloomed from my meltdown over a library card the day my servicemember went to get his DD214, but I want to share with you my personal why.
Military spouses don’t serve as active duty military members, and we don’t claim to share identical lived experiences.
However, we navigate deployments, temporary duty assignments, long work hours, PCS moves, sudden changes to schedules, triumphs, and challenges — all mirroring our servicemembers’ journey but from a distinctly different perspective.
With that comes a strong sense of duty, community, family, identity, purpose, patriotism, and more.
When transition out of active duty military life looms, military spouses not only need but deserve the resources to support a successful and positive journey into living a civilian life.
That’s why I built this site and will grow this organization — to navigate transition out of active duty military life one military spouse at a time.
I’m looking forward to getting to know you and supporting your transition journey!
P.S. I’m also ready anytime as a step-in milspouse bestie or backup dancer — whichever you need.

MEET THE Team
We met over pineapple shaped cookies and the rest is history. When you beg your bestie to be your honorary COO she gets a spot on the team roster.
This is my ride or die.
She’s the one who shows up with the blow up dino costumes and adds that bougie flair to everything we do. Five things I think you should know Selena loves…
- Tech. You can call her your techie bestie
- All things Aloha. She’s Hawaiian and proud of her heritage.
- Her Ohana. Family is her happy.
- Starbucks. Buy her a coffee. I recommend a Caramel Macchiato (hot or cold.)
- Sleeping in. For best results, do not distrurb until after 10 AM.
Strong, sassy, and one-of-a-kind Annette sat in a pool with me drinking strawberry wine and dreaming up ideas for Milspouse Transition.
She’s an author, veteran, and military spouse.
Here’s five things I think you should know about her:
- Her kids. They are amazing and bring happy to her life
- Her pups — all five of them are just as sassy as she is.
- Being a grandmalita to the cutest little dude in Texas.
- Advocating for mental health support for you and me and everyone.
- Connecting. Not six degrees to Kevin Bacon — 0.25 degrees for Annette.
He’s promised to help out when we gave him the title of Hype Guy. In addition to that he brings the creative ideas and loves brainstorming.
I also get to call him my one and only. He’s a veteran who will tell you like it is, share the good and the bad, and loves these five things:
- TTRPG – Yup, we’re talking about the OG Dungeons and Dragons. Is that really a surprise?
- Camping. I think that’s why he joined the Army in the first place. Lots of camping.
- Traveling the world. I’m the lucky sidekick that gets to go with him.
- The beard. I haven’t met a Veteran who doesn’t want to give the beard a go. He’s decided it’s a keeper.
- War stories. Do NOT get him started. Or do. You’ve been warned.
Faith is our go-to expert for military families who are not retiring, but separating from active duty life.
You’ll find her equal parts sweet and spicy and boujee and bum. Balance, ya know?! She’s a military spouse, fierce advocate, and philosopher at heart.
- Family. Faith’s spouse is outnumbered, three to one, and it’s the actual best.
- Heritage. Hungarian and Native American – rich in culture and stories.
- Busy. Top activities are chasing toddlers, reading, writing, or researching fashion trends.
- Learning. Patience and how to live with a rare, chronic diagnosis.
- Passionate. Boardroom, to the commissary checkout line — she’s got passion and we’re glad it’s never going to change!
